Real Estate Agents: How do B&B’s affect real estate values in the area?
Posted on January 31st, 2010 1 comment456 asked:
I would have to get a special permit to open a B&B and the abutters will be informed. I have heard that B&B’s usually help the area’s real estate values…Does anyone have any information on this?

Is it legal to use multiple real estate agents at the same time to help sell my house? Or must I chose 1?

I know I can meet with multiple potential agents to evaluate my house before putting it on the market. But when I am ready to sell, is it legal to use the services of multiple agents to sell my house at the same time (considering that the agent who finds me the buyer leading to a successful sale will be compensated by commission) to increase the number of possible buyers and the possibility of selling at an optimum price?

Are you not allowed to age if you’re in the real estate business?…
Rita: Some of my friends are males who have also had work done… this is a sad industry if a good real estate agent has to look young. I would rather an experienced older aged person.I am in California if that makes any difference.

are brokers, real estate agents and/or banks required to tell their clients about a counter offer by another?

are brokers, real estate agents and/or banks required to tell their clients about a counter offer by another party? if there are two customers interested in the same property and they go into a bidding war, and say i offered 95k but was told that the other party made a higher offer BUT doesn’t tell me, and instead tells me i need to bid HIGHER, are they lying to me? are they required to tell me what the other party is offering so that i have a baseline price to counter offer?

When there is news of low income housing already approved and being built do real estate agents know about it?

I just bought a house and they were in the progress of building apartments a couple blocks up the street, and now the are finished and it will be low income housing. The value of our house is more than liking going to fall, so is it possible that the real estate agent knew and did not tells us. What is the odds of them knowing?

Do Real Estate Agents not like to show buyers foreclosed properties?
Posted on December 6th, 2009 7 commentsFran T asked:
We’ve been working with a real estate agent and every time I bring up exploring foreclosed properties in the area, she “stonewalls” us and says there aren;t opportunities (which I know is bs).Does she not get a good commission on foreclosed properties? I’ve told her we have plenty of time to wait out a foreclosure if the potential deal is worth it.

Posted on December 6th, 2009 2 commentsAnna asked:
So I’m looking for an apartment, and have noo time to dig through craigslist. If I call a real estate agent and see what apartments they have listed and have them keep me in mind as a potential tenant. Do I have to pay them for this or is that all on the person who’s putting their apartment up for rent?

Any California Real Estate agents want to sue lenders for lost commissions on short sales?
Posted on December 1st, 2009 1 commentRj asked:
I am looking for a class action attorney who is willing to represent the countless agents in California who have worked diligently on “short sale listings” only to have the bank foreclose on the property and give the listing to an REO broker offering them more commission and refusing compensation for time and money spent on Utilities, cleaning and preparing the properties etc… E mail me if you would like more detail on the unfair, unethical, and scandalous business practices of almost all of the major banks. The list is long.

Do Commercial Real Estate agents calculate square footage using a formula other than Area=Lenght*Width?
Posted on November 27th, 2009 1 commentTyler P asked:
I have been looking for office space in the SF bay area and many of the suites I have seen will advertise that they are larger in square feet than the dimensions I actually measure. Is it standard pratie to add extra square feet to cover additional costs or are all commercial real estate agents dodgy sleezebags?
